2014 French Virgin Oak & Oloroso Sherry Cask Matured – Sinteis
‘Sinteis’ (pronounced sin-teesh) meaning ‘synthesis’ in Scottish Gaelic, embodies our cask creativity as we merge two bold yet complementary wood types to concoct unparalleled expressions.
Combining Single Malt matured in Oloroso Sherry casks with spirit from French Virgin Oak barrels, this, this 2014 vintage unveils indulgent layers of dark chocolate and roasted coffee entwined with nutmeg and gentle Oak warmth.
We proudly present this Sinteis Series bottling at a cask strength of 57.4% ABV, non-chill filtered with no color added, allowing the true character of the spirit to shine through.

NOSE: Orange zest, nutmeg, and dried orchard fruit; with honeycomb, maraschino cherries, mocha, and crystallized brown sugar.

The GlenAllachie 11yo Palo Cortado Cask Finish
Palo Cortado is the rarest style of Sherry, combining the aromatic finesse of Amontillado with the structure and richness of Oloroso. It develops when the ‘flor’ yeast layer naturally fades on a wine that was initially intended to become a Fino. Using puncheons and hogshead casks that previously held this exceptional Sherry, the spirit develops a beautifully layered character, with notes of ripe plums, dark mocha, and warming cinnamon spice. We proudly present The Wood Collection at a high strength of 48% ABV, non-chill filtered with no color added, allowing the unique character to shine through.

GlenAllachie 8 yo Scottish Virgin Oak
This golden malt obtains its indulgently sweet characteristics from maturation in casks crafted from Sessile Oak (Quercus Petraea), which grows in forests along the Atlantic coast of Scotland. Seldomly used for whisky maturation, Scottish Oak is not only rare and costly but is incredibly challenging to work with at all stages of production; growing, milling, and coopering. Prior to hosting our honeyed whisky, the wood was air dried for 36 months before being toasted and charred to a medium level to encourage optimum interaction between Oak and spirit. Despite presenting difficulties, this desirable Oak imparts luxurious notes of blonde chocolate, with hints of zesty orange and smooth toffee to offer a truly unique drinking experience.

The GlenAllachie 2012 9 yo Cuvée Wine Cask Finish
With a passion for sourcing casks from niche producers, Billy acquired wine barriques from the world-famous wine regions of Languedoc and Valpolicella, along with casks from two Premier Cru Classé chateaux in Bordeaux to both complement and elevate our honeyed spirit. The character development of each individual barrique was carefully monitored, before the whiskies were expertly married by Billy to create this golden liquid, offering up elegant stone fruits, hints of toasted almonds, and zesty orange peel on the palate.

GlenAllachie 13 yo Madeira Finish
This glorious golden malt has been matured for over eleven years in American Oak Barrels, before being transferred into expertly selected Madeira Barriques which previously held wine made from Malvasia grapes; one of the richer Madeira styles. The result is a unique twist on the classic GlenAllachie style, with the perfect balance of sweet and spice.

GlenAllachie 7 yo Hungarian Oak
We first matured our whisky in American Oak (Quercus Alba) ex-Bourbon Barrels. To add a delicate and distinctive twist, the whisky then underwent additional maturation for approximately 18 months in specially selected virgin Oak casks.
Always the innovator, Master Distiller Billy Walker’s search for the unusual led him to the mountains of northeast Hungary to the Zemplén forest. Its rocky volcanic soil, along with its colder climate and higher altitude, means that the trees in this region grow very slowly, giving the Oak a tight grain – a desirable trait for aging spirit. Keen to experiment with this rare Oak, the barrels were toasted and charred a medium level before hosting our complex spirit. One of the world’s first Single Malts finished in Hungarian Virgin Oak (Quercus Petraea), expect an aromatic, well-balanced, and wonderfully unique whisky delivering silky smooth richness.
