Cotton Hollow is a small whiskey company based in Bardstown, Kentucky, the heart of bourbon country. The as an idea in 2008 when the founder, Darren Lincoln, wanted to create a whiskey company that produces special bourbons and ryes in small batches, unfiltered, and high proof.

It took 5 years of hard work and a lot of money to bring Cotton Hollow Distilling bourbons to the store shelves but in 2013, thier first batch, a 4 year old Kentucky Bourbon at 93 proof hit the shelves in Texas and the entire batch was sold out of Texas in just 2 months.

The name Cotton Hollow comes from a real place and is their source for inspiration. Cotton Hollow was one of the first cotton processing mills in the New World. It was built at a time when the British forbid the colonies from processing their own cotton. The people that built Cotton Hollow showed a strong independence and a desire to defy the world’s greatest power to do what they thought was right.

“We work hard ever day to make sure that the whiskeys that we produce live up the expectations of our fans and our founder’s principals.”

Cotton Hollow, 4 Year Old Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Our Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is unique because it is made from only Texas sweet corn and Oklahoma rye, distilled in a traditional pot still and aged in new charred oak barrels in the crazy Texas weather. This unique recipe and traditional process produces a bourbon that stands out, smooth, balanced, sweet, with strong notes of spice.

Cotton Hollow, 5 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

We patiently search for the best barrels of bourbon to be used in our limited releases. This batch comes from Northern Kentucky, fermented, distilled, and aged on-site. Kentucky produces some of the best whiskeys in the world because of the climate, lime-stone filtered water, and recipe of local corn rye, and malted barley.

Cotton Hollow, 4 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey

We use only a high rye content mash bill balanced with a small amount of malted barley and aged for 4 years in new charred oak barrels. We do not add water to bring the proof down to 101, we concentrate the rye by evaporating the alcohol naturally until it reaches 101 proof. This concentrates the flavors and makes a unique rye. We never filter and we hand bottle in small batches.
