The Secret Garden Distillery started as a derelict 7.5 acre plot of land just on the outskirts of Edinburgh, it was there that the roots were laid for The Secret Herb Garden; a green space that allowed people to wander freely and enjoy the subtle wonder that nature has to offer.
Experimenting with all the plants, that were so lovingly nurtured, led to the discovery of the true magic of nature. Using and inspired by the botanicals grown in the Garden, a range of 100% natural gins were created.
The Secret Garden Distillery is the only distillery in the UK to have a fully functional botanical garden with over 600 naturally grown and tended varieties of herbs and flowers.
Owned and operated by a mother and daughters’ team who share the same passion of celebrating nature and creating a truly unique product; their hope is to expand the range of home-grown botanicals, elevate the distillery, and launch new products. Always at the forefront is maintaining the focus on nature and quality for which the distillery has always been known.
The Secret Garden Distillery is most renowned for their highly acclaimed collection of The Herb Garden Gins: premium, 100% natural, handcrafted, small batch, floral and herbal Scotish Gins first released in 2017.
The Herb Garden Gins are created with imagination resulting in gins with a complexity of aroma and taste pushing the boundaries of expectation.

Damask Rose & Juniper
At the Secret Garden Distillery our botanicals are hand-harvested and dried in our drying room, before being distilled and infused to create The Herb Garden Damask Rose & Juniper Gin.
Used in tinctures and tonics of eras gone by, the Damask Rose, know as the Apothecary Rose, is subtle in fragrance and naturally floral in flavor; producing a romantic companion to our perfectly distilled Gin.
A lovely golden gin with aromas of rose and hints of juniper. It tastes like Turkish Delight with some light citrus and candied cherry. It’s a gorgeous, delicate gin that is as refreshing as it is beautiful.
Perfect serve: Pour over ice and mix with a premium light tonic water and watch it transform from a shimmering gold to a lovely pink in honor of this noble rose’s petals.
Lemon Verbena & Juniper
At the Secret Garden Distillery our botanicals are hand-harvested and dried in our drying room, before being distilled and infused to create The Herb Garden Lemon Verbena & Juniper Gin.
A refreshing London Dry style Gin with a natural citrus note. This gin showcases fresh home-grown Lemon Verbena along with three other botanicals, which give the herbaceous·notes.
Crystal clear gin with aromas of citrus, lemon sherbet, and hints of herbs. Its zesty flavors are intermingled with juniper.
Perfect serve: Pour over ice and mix with a premium light tonic water. Garnish with a slice of lemon or a sprig of fresh mint.
Pink Elderflower, Jasmine, & Juniper
At the Secret Garden Distillery our botanicals are hand-harvested and dried in our drying room, before being distilled and infused to create The Herb Garden Pink Elderflower, Jasmine, & Juniper Gin.
The relaxining property of Elderflower is perfectly complimented by the restorative nature of Jasmine in this beautifully balanced fusion of fine botanicals.
A delightful salmon pink gin with aromas of orange and pink grapefruit. On the palate it’s quite exotic with citrus and sweet orange flavors. All the sweetness is coming from the natural residual sugar of the plants.
Perfect serve: Pour over ice and mix with a premium light tonic water and watch it change from salmon pink to a brighter vibrant pink. Serve with a slice of pink grapefruit.
